Lady Gaga called out by Surviving R Kelly producer for her silence after she is seen DEFENDING the singer https://t.co/fSM7segOGO— Daily Mail Celebrity (@DailyMailCeleb) January 7, 2019
Lady Gaga is under fire for staying silent on R. Kelly, and is now being called out by 'Surviving R. Kelly' producer, Dream Hampton, who is furious that the singer not only refused to participate in the program, but that she's never publicly denounced the alleged sexual predator.
"I wanted to know how Lady Gaga could be on SNL with him as someone who advocates for domestic abuse survivors and you know, had this ridiculous performance with him on SNL."
The singer previously recorded a duet with Kelly in 2013 titled 'Do What U Want', and even filmed a video directed by another alleged sexual offender, Terry Richardson, in which Kelly molests Gaga while she's under anesthesia and she wakes up pregnant. The video was scrapped after Richardson was accused of sexual harassment weeks before the premiere.
During a 2013 press conference in Japan when asked why she collaborated with the embattled artist after his child pornography trial, she stated "R Kelly and I have sometimes, very untrue things written about us, so in a way this was a bond between us."
A journalist also took to Twitter to call out the singer for her support:
For those who keep acting like Lady Gaga only backed R. Kelly in 2013. She was still shouting him out in her social media a year later. This tweet is still active on her page. #SurvivingRKelly #MuteRKelly https://t.co/iHvuIQkMnm— Ernest Owens (@MrErnestOwens) January 6, 2019
