Police Responding To Noise Complaint End Up Playing ‘Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’ https://t.co/GsG4WbvjtN— Variety (@Variety) December 11, 2018
In a rare instance of "Police see black people and don't open fire", police ended up joining in a game of the latest entry in the Smash Bros. saga.
A noise complaint was filed after the combatants were super pumped about their fights, and the police arrived - and asked what they were playing.
“I’m like, ‘Y’all wanna play ‘Smash?!’’ And two of them literally raised their hand and walked up. They’re like, ‘How do you jump?’ [...] one of them was playing Pikachu!” said Jovante Williams, one of the Smashers.
The officers said that the group wasn't being too loud. No word on who the other officer mained or if their next call involved unecessary violence.
I don't have the game yet but if you do, are you having fun?
