Meghan Murphy is still banned on Twitter + tech giants rally to JY's cause

Follow up to this post.

Things have been kicking off in a big way for the past few weeks, with Meghan Murphy still permanently suspended on Twitter for having identified JY (the individual she was alleged to have misgendered) as "him". That one tweet, however, was only the tip of a colossal iceberg, with WordPress now wading into the fray to shut down JY's critics.

Despite JY not only using JY's birth name and male pronouns (he/him) across JY's numerous online presences (including JY's website, which runs the gamut from sex toy reviews to unsolicited commentary on current tech and averages 0 comments per post, and JY's LinkedIn profile), Murphy's comment ("yeah that's him") was considered in violation of Twitter's newly updated TOS, which prohibits "dead naming" (using a trans person's birth name to refer to them) and misgendering individuals.

Someone impersonating Murphy also attempted to cancel her upcoming event at the Vancouver Public Library. FeministCurrent, the popular feminist blog she founded, has also been subject to repeated DDOS attacks ever since the JY story surfaced.

But Twitter isn't alone in making sweeping changes to their TOS--WordPress has shut down several feminist blogs, including the popular feminist blog GenderTrender (following GT's exposé on JY) and AutogynephiliaTruth, an old blog run by a detransitioned trans person, and is otherwise censoring content over alleged privacy concerns (the disclosure of JY's "dead name", which JY still currently uses online, and the disclosure of screenshots of text messages in which JY solicits advice regarding how to approach 10-12 year old girls and bond with them over tampons, which JY closed one of JY's 16 BC Human Rights Tribunal complaints in order to avoid said conversations being made part of the public record [but the Economist reported on regardless]).

It is now a bannable offense for a trans woman to misgender herself on Twitter:

While feminists on Twitter enjoy their temporary (sometimes turned permanent) Twitter bans, JY has been issuing copyright claims under JY's "dead name" to have podcasts and other content removed from services such as Twitter and YouTube.

While feminists have been banned from Twitter and WordPress, Jordan Peterson, Nazis, Donald Trump, and other depraved human beings are still allowed on both services (as long as they don't identify a paedophile as a paedophile, presumably, at which point they'll be shown the door):
