The Queen Has Reportedly Invited Meghan Markle's Mom to Spend Christmas With the Royals

If true, this a breach of protocol as family of the royal family's in-laws never get invited to stay for holidays.

A source close to the family says that the invitation is a "mark of [the Queen's] respect" for Meghan, an acknowledgement that she doesn't have any family in England.

Doria Ragland reportedly has been invited to stay at Sandringham House (the Queen's estate) in Norfolk, England for the duration of the royal family's holiday festivities.

The Queen likely also considered the fact that Meghan Markle is pregnant for the first time and away from her mother, whereas the Duchess of Cambridge had access to her mother throughout all three of her pregnancies.
