I love my AMC A-LIST. Prices will rise for certain states for new members in the upcoming year but will remain the same for those that are current members from those states.
We are holding the line on the pricing of A‑List. It goes without saying that for all of you of course, our 12-month price and benefits guarantee from date of enrollment will be fully honored. Your monthly price of $19.95 plus tax will remain unchanged for a full year from the date of your joining. In 35 states, the monthly price for new or renewing members will also stay unchanged at $19.95 plus tax. Given the popularity and growth of A‑List, we are making a modest price adjustment in a select number of locations. Beginning January 9 of 2019, in 10 states (Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington) and the District of Columbia, the monthly price for new members (and for renewing members 12 months after they signed up initially) will rise only modestly to $21.95 plus tax; while in 5 states (California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York), it will go up to $23.95 plus tax, still a terrific bargain given the cost of individual movie tickets there. Let me reiterate that for you at AMC, your monthly price of $19.95 plus tax will stay intact without change for 12 full months from the date you joined no matter where you live or visit AMC.
Also looking at flights and Level airlines is like $300 cheaper than anyone else but I don't trust them. Has anyone flown with them before?

things to do:
***so lyon is the gastronomic capital of france (if you ask any of the lyonnaise and i agree). you definitely need to try the authentic "bouchons" (meaning they serve traditional lyonnaise food). a lot of these are found in vieux lyon, but there are tons of really great restaurants around. le tire bouchon, les fines gueules, aux trois maries, bouchon les lyonnaise. just try a bunch. there are a great many Michelin starred restaurants, tho i was poor and not really going to those lol. also they have a cool chinatown in the 3rd arrondisement.

***you absolutely have to go to place bellecour, the large square on the penninsula. tons of bookshops, restaurants, movie theatre, and north of bellecour towards place de jacobins is more high end and boutique shopping. also there are several nice coffee shops up this way.
***vieux lyon--this is the "old town" i lived here for a few months. very pretty, cobblestone streets, right on the saone river.
~~in vieux lyon is the cathedrale saint-jean, the basilica of notre dame de fourviere, the eglise saint-george, and a few more cathedrals if thats your thing. def do the basilica though because its high on a hill and you can see the rest of the city from the top.
~~there's also tons of good bars restaurants in vieux lyon including a very cute and inexpensive tea shop called savanah.
***parc de la tete d'or is i think the largest park there, is stunning, in a beautiful neighborhood, has several small bodies of water where you can take small boats out, and depending when you go its a great place to sun yourself.
one of the best things to do is to just grab a baguette, cheese, wine, and go to the rhone and sit on the river. there's a bunch of great bars/restaurants there--an australian baryou can't miss that i'm blanking on the name, but the steps in front of the universite jean moulin lyon (my alma mater) are perfect for relaxing.

I went to the chagall museum and walked around the promenade de anglais + castle hill. There are shops and restaurants around there. You can find nice soaps and candy.
I've been reading stories of people advocating for strangers to vote. This one woman asked her cashier if she was voting and she said she had to work. The woman talked to her manager and now she gets to vote.
