"I was wrong" to back Trump, Caitlyn Jenner writes for The Post. "He has ignored our humanity" and used transgender people as pawns. https://t.co/zUkP4CZZ0m— Washington Post (@washingtonpost) October 25, 2018
In an op-ed piece posted to the Washington Post that could have been titled, "I thought being wealthy and white would protect me, but I was wrong", Caitlyn Jenner admits that Trump is NOT the friend of the LGBTQ community he claimed he would be (Whhhaaattt???)
Basically admits that she was clueless and privileged when she first transitioned, and truly believed her fame and wealth would be enough to effect change within the Republican party. She has now figured out how dumb she was, and wants to "learn from [her] mistakes and move forward."
Those mistakes include: not listening to literally everybody, apparently never meeting a Republican ever, not caring so much about the blatant racism, sexism, xenophobia, et al, and only starting to "realize stuff" when it starts to affect her personally.
