Warner Bros. unveiled their current slate of movies that they'll be pushing for the upcoming awards season, including 'A Star is Born', 'Crazy Rich Asians', and 'Ready Player One' (this is only for tech categories).
-- 'A Star is Born' is going to get pushes in EVERY major category, including five for Bradley Cooper (producer, director, writer, actor, ensemble), and five for Lady Gaga (actress, ensemble, 3 songs).
For those wondering, these are the three songs that will be submitted for Best Original Song consideration at this year's Golden Globes, Oscars, etc: "Shallow"; "Always Remember Us This Way"; and "I'll Never Love Again".
-- 'Crazy Rich Asians' will get awards pushes for best picture, director, adapted screenplay, ensemble cast, actor (Henry Golding), actress (Constance Wu), Supporting Actor (Ken Jeung) and Supporting Actresses (Michelle Yeoh, Awkwafina, Gemma Chan, Lisa Lu), and various tech/crafts categories.
Should note that this is probably not WB's full list, and they'll probably add tech recognition for the upcoming releases of "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" and "Aquaman". I thought "Creed II" was a WB title but apparently - and unfortunately - it looks like it's an Annapurna Pictures and MGM title in the U.S. (but WB worldwide).
