Natalie Portman's pop star drama 'Vox Lux' bought by NEON pictures, eyeing awards release date

Indie production company Neon bought the rights to Natalie Portman's critically acclaimed pop star drama 'Vox Lux' (which premiered at Venice and TIFF), and are eyeing an awards release date for the star.

Just as a reminder, Neon (which launched last year) was the company behind 'I, Tonya', which went off to get Allison Janney her first Oscar, and Margot Robbie her first Oscar nod. Here's a bit more info about 'Vox Lux':

“Vox Lux” co-stars Jude Law and Stacy Martin and is a drama that spans decades, touching upon issues such as school shootings, terrorism, and celebrity culture. It features original songs by pop artist Sia and an original score by Scott Walker.
