- Legendary and underrated director Satoshi Kon's iconic film PERFECT BLUE is coming to select US cinemas for its 20th anniversary. The film is about Mima, a pop star who abandoned her singing career for a stint in acting, and her descent into identity crisis. Its surrealistic, unsettling visuals coupled with its tense, thrilling story has been an inspiration for Darren Aronofsky's 'Requiem for a Dream' and 'Black Swan'. The film will screen in select US theatres September 6 and 10, and you can check if it'll screen near your city through this link: https://bit.ly/2KG5qvi or https://www.fathomevents.com/events/perfect-blue
- EDIT: Perfect Blue will screen in the original Japanese language with English subtitles on September 06, 2018, and in an English dubbed format on September 10, 2018.
Go see this in theaters, girlies. It's a very great viewing experience for the big screen.
