Kristen Stewart (Zathura, Personal Shopper), Naomi Scott (Power Rangers, Aladdin), Ella Balinska (Lorraine Pascale's daughter, relative newcomer) have been cast as the angels for the Charlie's Angels reboot.
Lupita Nyong'o (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Black Panther) was originally in talks for one of the angels (now played by Balinska).
Elizabeth Banks will direct and is will also playing the role of Bosley, the face of the enigmatic and never-seen owner of the detective agency, Charlie Townsend, which has so far been played by a man in all iterations of the franchise.
The film will focus on the next generation of Angels working for the mysterious Charlie. Since the original films, the Townsend Agency has grown considerably and gone global, providing security and intelligence services to a wide variety of private clients with offices and highly-trained teams worldwide. This film focuses on one of those teams.
“Charlie’s Angels” is slated for release Sept. 27, 2019.
