"The Sisters Brothers," "Suspiria," "Beautiful Boy," more to premiere at 2018 Venice Film Festival




This year's Venice Film Festival (August 29 – September 8) will feature the world premieres of highly-anticipated and/or Oscar-baity movies including:

-- “The Sisters Brothers,” a western dramedy starring Joaquin Phoenix and Jake Gyllenhaal
-- Alfonso Cuarón’s autobiographical “ROMA”
-- Luca Guadagnino’s horror/thriller “Suspiria”
-- “Beautiful Boy,” the drug-addiction drama starring Steve Carell and Timothée Chalamet
-- Paul Greengrass’ “Norway” (based on the 2011 terrorist attack in Oslo and on Utoya)

Damien Chazelle's Neil Armstrong biopic 'First Man' is already confirmed to open the Venice Film Festival.

Others that may premiere include Mike Leigh’s historical drama “Peterloo” and Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s “A Star Is Born.”
