Tessa Thompson discusses race, sexuality, and Janelle Monae in new interview

+ Explicitly says she's attracted to both men and women (has she come out as bi before? I feel like it was just an open secret/she's hinted but I'm not positive)

+ She's incredibly proud to have been involved in Janelle's Dirty Computer emotion picture

+ Addresses the speculation that she and Janelle are together, but neither confirms or denies because they're "just really private people," and isn't sure if she has a responsibility to publicly state that Janelle is "her person."

+ She also said this on Janelle: "We love each other deeply," she says. "We’re so close, we vibrate on the same frequency. If people want to speculate about what we are, that’s okay. It doesn’t bother me."

+ She talks about the racial discrimination she faced in school and how she formed a "racial harmony group"

+ She's currently developing and producing her first project about Doris Payne

+ Has Sorry to Bother You coming out soon, and is filming Creed II now

What do you think, ONTD? Are she and Janelle just gal pals, or dating?
