A memorial for slain rapper was held in L.A. last night and things got out of hand when fans decided to roam down Melrose Ave and cause a ruckus. Over 500 people were met by the swat team who donned riot gear and dispersed non lethal rounds at the crowd. XXXTentacion was shot in front of a motorcycle store in Florida earlier this week and was pronounced dead later in the hospital. XXXTentacion was known for his horrific violent behavior moreso over his music and has bragged about beating a gay man. After his death XXXTentacion's music skyrocketed 1,603% in streams and sales, over shadowing last Friday's new releases, towering over Nas and Christina Aguilera's low selling efforts. Even though Spotify removed XXXTentacion’s music from their editorial playlists earlier in May, it since reversed its policy amid backlash. Now, after X’s death, the streaming platform featured an “RIP XXXTentacion” banner and a playlist of his music at the top of its browser.
