Not much is known to the public about the plotline of the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, but preparing for it has made Brie Larson realize she is a lot stronger than she thought - mentally and physically. She can deadlift an impressive 215 lbs and hip thrust a whopping 400 lbs (and other bad ass shit she posts on her IG - close grip push ups with a chain draped over her back and barbell overhead walking lunges) but the biggest take away is lifting such heavy weight has made her see herself in a new light and realize that she's stronger than she thought. She says she is 'super inspired by Capt Marvel and can only hope this movie can be an inspiration for others'.

SLJ says Brie is taking this role very seriously. She wants it to represent all women and do the character justice because of how important a character Carol Danvers is to the Marvel universe.
"She wants it to be a special film, she wants it to represent women, she wants it to be a film that has heart and depth. Brie grabs information from everywhere: Who was the first female pilot? What were her struggles? She wants to make sure all of that is embodied in the character to give it the justice of the woman’s struggle, to follow her from where she was to becoming this great force, because she’s the most powerful character in the Marvel universe.”
