'Cobra Kai' the sequel series to the 1980s Karate Kid franchise debuted yesterday on YouTubeRed and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The series features many references, callbacks and shoutouts to characters and events from the original.
So, I can say this now…I have seen #CobraKai and I absolutely love it. If you grew up with these characters then this show is for you, which doesn’t mean it can’t be if you didn’t. It honors the legacy, while advancing it for the next generation. So good.— Paul Shirey (@arcticninjapaul) May 1, 2018

Peeps. #CobraKai is here and it's spectacular. (https://t.co/Owk2IkcnHP) Watch the first couple episodes and bask in the awesome. The best of the recent TV redo/revamp/reboots because it makes the original thing better but is also its own fresh hotness. https://t.co/Sn6DlYXPFA— Brian Truitt (@briantruitt) May 2, 2018
