- TriStar has bought the rights to The Happiest Season, a holiday comedy co-written by Clea DuVall (Veep) and Mary Holland (Veep).
- The plot: A woman plans to propose to her girlfriend at the annual family holiday party. However, she soon discovers her girlfriend hasn't yet come out to her conservative parents.
- DuVall is set to direct; she previously directed the drama The Intervention in 2016.
- Holland is a Upright Citizens Brigade veteran who recently developed a pilot (Romancing the Globe) for YouTube Red.
