The British royal family will boycott the World Cup in Russia. "It's not so important," a Russian official said. https://t.co/As6CAs2UAe— The New York Times (@nytimes) 15 marca 2018
No British ministers or members of the royal family will attend the World Cup this summer.
The decision is a part of Prime Minister Theresa May’s list of measures announced Wednesday to penalize the Russians.
May did not call for Britons to boycott the World Cup.
A vice president of the Russian Soccer Union said they will be ready to host Royals if they decide to come after all.
May accused Russia of being responsible for an attack using a Russian-made, military-strength nerve agent against a former Russian spy and his daughter.
