Anyway, I wasn't all that interested in this pilot before but I love both her and Michelle so now I'm in. Hopefully it'll be interesting and be picked up to series.

Never seen GA, but she was SO annoying on Everwood. She reminded me of this annoying, frumpy, Christian, homeschooled girl I used to work with. She was also creepily like 25 playing 15. Maybe she is just annoying lol.

That girl sounds exactly like her GA character too, so that must be who she is as a person. She sounds unbearable.

She is though. She's been on Broadway, strong singing voice, was only supposed to be in a 2 episode arc in Grey's Anatomy but got promoted to a series regular, did a great job with April's more serious storylines, directed a mini-series etc, she is clearly very talented. Obviously Sandra Oh is in a league of her own though.

I love that Michelle Hurd is married to Burt Chance, I mean Garret Dillahunt.

nah. pilot casting happen really fastbsince the networks have only like 4-5 weeks to cast 400+ roles for the pilots. so its not unusual that she got cast so fast. they might even have offered the role to her so she wouldn't need to to do any auditioning

Yeah, I really can't figure out how this is gonna work. The whole "Sofia lives on two coasts and also we never see her" thing is already pushing it; I can't imagine April would move far away from Jackson while Harriet's still a baby. But actually killing her would be super-shitty as well, given the stunning number of Seattle Grace Mercy Death employees who've already died unexpectedly and given that she has a kid. I mean, goddamn, does EVERY kid on this show have to lose a parent?? It's almost as if they didn't think this through in advance.
