* I've been waiting forever for Bobbie and Avasarala to be on the Roci and interact with the crew, I can't freaking wait.
* Not very happy about Roci in fighting and them all ganging up on Naomi, hopefully it's only in the CW arc and they get along better in 'Abaddon's Gate' part. I miss the family feel from the book.
* That little Amos-Prax scene was sweet.
* Bobbie and Alex interacting! Our two Martians meeting should be good.

* That shot with Earth... I'm gonna assume it's someone's nightmare, probably Holden or Avasarala.
* Holden destroying his coffee machine in his teaser is so OOC for book-Holden, he loves coffee more than life.
* Cotyar lives! You see him at the end for half a second with Admiral Souther, so clearly he gets to his UN ship and is safe in med bay. Also it kinda looks like Cotyar is holding his hand, hmmm....
* Action Bobbie is the best Bobbie.
* Errinwright and Mao are going down.

I'm pretty sure that's Admiral Souther, who in the books is into men, so I was definitely 'hmmmmmm'ing at that hand holding.
Also Chrisjen gives the best exposition to his sexuality in the book, I was sad it wasn't in the show, but if I get Souther/Cotyar or him having an onscreen male love interest, I'll allow it.I've been waiting so long to see Bobbie and Avasarala on the Roci, interacting with the crew, I can't wait.

i rly should get back to watching this show, it's been on my to-finish list for like 2 years. i rly like that more of the cool women are present from earlier.
ETA: everyone is so excited for drummer, i don't remember that character - does she pop up in book 3?

and i think the show has passed book 2 in content by now. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong,
WATCH IT. Avasarala is everything, Naomi has far more agency than in the books as of these books, Bobbie had a bit of a rough start but she's badass and we're getting more amazing female characters this season I'm excited for.
[Spoiler (click to open)]Drummer first shows up in book 5, I think. She has a bit of a presence but doesn't play an important role till book 7. I think the show is gonna combine her with at least one other character and make her more important early on. I think a few book 3 characters are gonna be merged with existing characters to not introduce a lot of 1 book wonders.

i tried the show two years ago, didn't get into it, then started it again this year and got hooked by ep 4. glad i tried it again because it is great!! (i still have issues with most of the main characters being men and the "love story" angle with miller and julie since he's always been calling her kid... but everything else has been awesome. naomi, chrisjen, and amos are my faves so far)
I was never a fan of Miller/Julie and I agree about the main characters being men, but I do love the female characters (in the books and on the show). Avasarala and Amos are my absolute favorites, but other than Holden I like most of the characters a lot.
Naomi's one flaw is liking Holden so much lol, i liked him in s1 but throughout s2 he annoys me with his self-righteousness and condescension. the moment he said "who you talking down to, plant-guy?" sealed my hatred for him lol. but yeah I like the other characters a lot, even though Alex's dirty talk towards the Rocinante puts me out lmao
Book Holden would not approve of the coffee smashing though.
