My heritage is that Avril Lavigne is my...third cousin, I think? My mom's family are rednecks and are spread out over the whole province so who knows who we're related to.
being the grandson of the father of Canada's universal healthcare system, Tommy Douglas:
i was OBSESSED with anne of green gables as a kid. i have so many pictures of me reading the books, getting the VHS of the tv movie for christmas, etc. one of my favourite childhood memories is going to PEI and going to all the different anne of green gables themed places there.
UGH I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH.
Hopefully already in production:
but how dare they get rid of the classic graphics???

To be honest, I never thought my family would be one of the ones that had drama because of ancestry.com shit lol
My mom and Dad did recently do 23 and Me, so we’re just waiting on those. I just know I’m white through and through. Like my mom is pretty certain she had family in the Caucasus mountains. And my dad’s side (that we know of) is pretty much all Scandinavian.
I also liked the one where dumbass Jean Nicolet can't tell the difference between a lake and an ocean. Basically I like the ones that point out that the boring old men we focused on in school were dumb.
More seriously, I loved the Jennie Trout one, the Halifax explosion (that guy was a hero and it makes me cry) and the Underground Railroad one.
