I'm hot & cold with Grey's through the years but April was by far one of my most annoying characters.

YES! I feel sorry that the actress is out of a job but I'M SO FUCKING GLAD TO SEE THIS CHARACTER GO THE FUCK AWAY!

I know I'd stick around for that Shonda money and stay forever if I was allowed to lol but from a career standpoint her story/character was going nowhere and the writing was horrible. Owen is another one I hate. Salary thief!

April has been my least favorite character from day 1. I've mildly enjoyed the character-suicide they've done to her this season only because she wasn't being so self righteous and judgmental for once. Not surprised she's exiting...I'm sure Sarah Drew was like "wtf" and confronted the writers about it and didn't get her way.

Also, Robbins has been ruined ever since she cheated on Cali soooo....fine with her leaving too. She had nowhere to go.

Same! I haven't watched since the season after Derek's death and I'm legit so happy about this news. Like I might even tune in again...

There have been such better awkward country girl schticks on better TV shows. They never knew what to do with her.

I don't care about April but I'm upset about Arizona (although I'm looking forward to seeing what JCap does next).

The way April's character has been going downhill, I'm not surprised.

I am behind two seasons of Grey’s, but I am still so upset about this. April could be annoying, but I still liked her and Arizona was one of my favorites. Shonda has kept flop characters before, I can’t believe she is getting rid of these two!

the worst part is that april was only christian when it was relevant to the plot. it never really showed itself in other ways which is why she quickly became a "let's stick all our underwhelming b plots on her" character

I know they're saying ~~creative reasons, but I assume that means "budget reasons"; interesting they chose two women instead of one of the 10,000 guys as well. HMM.

one of them being a lesbian. we all know how those stories tend to end.

Whereas with everyone else they could pair them up ad infinitum, but with her character they had to keep bringing in new characters which is totally shitty and I could see it as part of the reason.

I just hope the new trans character gets some screen time.

genuinely feel like it's because he has the mcdreamy/mcsteamy ~allure~ for middle aged white women while also being a semi-decent actor. they can't put him and meredith together (trust me if they didn't think people would riot they woulda tried it already) so now he has to cycle through every new female character who sets foot on the show.

They should've kicked off Jo while they were at it. I'm really bummed that this seems to be so messy. I really like April and thought her story wasn't done (kill off Jackson tbh his storyline this season is painful and Maggie deserves better). I hated Arizona but I hope they don't kill her off

Ugh, the whole Maggie/Jackson thing is so weird and forced. They're not related. It's dumb (and kind of weirdly disrespectful to her adoptive parents???) to pretend they are. Either get together or don't, but stop dragging it out.

it's still triggering as fuck to me though. Even if it's only through their parents marrying, it still registers as incest to me.

I really like April as well and I was curious how her story was going to end. I guess to "move on" from Jackson, she'll end up leaving the hospital for good. I'm not sure what's going on with Arizona, but it sucks that she's leaving.

but Owen, Andrew and Richard get to stay even though the contribute nothing? smh I Hope Jesse Williams is out too, because Jackson without April and their baby makes no sense.
