Star Trek: Discovery producer on that finale twist, season 2 plans https://t.co/k08x5JE335— Entertainment Weekly (@EW) February 12, 2018
Entertainment Weekly interviewed one of Disco's producers, Alex Kurtzman after the finale. He reflects a bit about what worked and what didn't work about season 1 and teases a bit about what might happen in season 2. Ok rest of the summary is going behind a spoiler cut so don't click if you haven't seen the finale.
[Spoiler (click to open)]So firstly, Kurtzman plays it VERY coy when asked about Georgiou possibly being in season 2. So I'm guessing that's a yes! He also is being coy about how much we'll see of the Enterprise in season 2 after that kinda cliffhanger ending where Discovery got a distress signal from Enterprise (which at this point in time is being captained by Pike).
He also talked about how people responded really positively to the Pahvo mission episode and how season 2 will still be serialized but I suspect we'll get a lot more semi-stand alone episodes. Also, thank God, it seems that he realized that people didn't love the long scenes where everyone was speaking Klingon. And since the war is over, we'll be seeing less of Klingons anyway. Ok, I think that basically covers the important parts. Click the source to find out more!
