Star Wars: The Last Jedi had a gay couple that no-one noticed https://t.co/ogyclwFuKK— PinkNews (@PinkNews) February 4, 2018
A lot of fans were upset because Finn and Poe didn't hookup in Disney's 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi.'
What a lot of these fans don't realize is that there actually was a gay couple in the movie.
A Star Wars superfan on Twitter revealed the news in a tweet that went viral.
The fan explained that a pair of porgs seen snuggling in the background in the accompanying GIF are actually gay because "male porgs have orange plummage around their eyes" and the two snuggling porgs both have orange plummage.
The fan went on to explain that this was done intentionally, since the official Star Wars app features a straight porg couple because only one of the porgs has orange plummage around their eyes, making the other porg female.
only male porgs have orange plumage around their eyes, and both snuggling porgs have those markings. gay porgs, folks. tlj is a gift that keeps on giving pic.twitter.com/yxDO6HJ3iD— h-hewwo? kywo wen? (@ikolism) February 2, 2018
"maybe it's just an oversight" no, look. these are heterosexual porgs from the official star wars app. they knew what they were doing. amen. pic.twitter.com/f1Ljwev4sM— h-hewwo? kywo wen? (@ikolism) February 2, 2018
