So, Lee Anne had to drop out, because she got sick from the altitude which, lbr, was most likely exacerbated by camping in a freezing mountain for no reason. Some of the other cheftestants weren't feeling so hot either. Maybe this'll teach the Top Chef producers not to pull stupid stunts like that again?
Quickfire challenge: Because, apparently, this is the season where Top Chef discovered the Internet, the chefs have to simplify a pre-chosen dish from their restaurants that usually takes days to prepare and do it in 30 minutes. Along with immunity, the winner's dish will be featured in a Buzzfeed Tasty video.
Elimination challenge: The cheftestants were asked to make a German-inspired dish with an accompanying radler enough to feed 200 randos in a park. The winner won a 2-day trip to Palm Springs to look at some BMWs, I guess? Sometimes the way they plug the sponsors makes no damn sense.
(Oddly enough, egg rolls aren't German)
Challenge: Make a dish using parts of trees... da fuck?
