Disney-Marvel has hired “She’s Gotta Have It” star DeWanda Wise for a supporting role in “Captain Marvel” opposite Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, and Jude Law.

“Captain Marvel” will be Wise’s first movie role.
