Kid Rock went on Howard Stern's show and clarified the rumors about his Michigan Senate run.
"F--- no, I’m not running for Senate. Are you kidding me?"
He added:
"Who couldn’t figure that out? I’m releasing a new album. I’m going on tour too."
He said even people who were in his circle who knew it was a joke were starting to take the Senate idea seriously. He told them "no, we’re not doing it, but let’s roll with it for a while."
Kid Rock was reportedly leading the Michigan Republican primary polling with more support than all the other candidates combined but fortunately it looks like this recently recirculating video of the CMT Awards' opening wasn't actually some kind of bizarre political prophecy.
