- Eric Bolling, Fox News host, is accused of sending unsolicited nudes and lewd texts to female colleagues at Fox and Fox Business (see: Eric Bolling Sent Nudes to Female Colleagues)
- Yashar Ali, a freelancer under contract with HuffPost, broke the story
- The next day, Fox suspended Bolling and launched an investigation
- Bolling is now suing Ali specifically — NOT the Huffington Post — for defamation, seeking $50 million in damages
- HuffPost editor-in-chief has vowed to stand by Ali and financially support him:
Yashar Ali is a paid freelancer under contract with HuffPost. We have no hesitation about standing by him financially in this case.
