So far I haven't been super impressed with The Ordinary. I feel like their foundations oxidize like crazy and their skin care is only so-so. But you really can't beat the price.
I feel like I've finally grown into my looks because I like the way I look a lot. Or I gave up and learned to accept myself over the years lol. All I put on my face is moisturizer and sunscreen when I leave the house
She looks good and put together in the end, but I just can't get into subtle makeup like that. You still end up using a good bit of product just to look like a slightly better version of yourself. Give me lashes or a bright lip or some blush. She might as well had used foundation and then maybe she could've used less of everything else.
fellow oily skinned person here.. I use the Boscia black moisturizer. It's the only moisturizer that's ever sunk into my skin and not broken me out. I use Smashbox photo finish primer on top of it, then go about doing my makeup as usual.
Hmm, is that the gel? I might try it, I've never used a gel. Right now I'm very light on everything because it's so hot and humid, but I typically just use some kind of oil, like a really small amount of vitamin e or apricot kernel oil.
I've used Smashbox primer before and liked it, it's very light. For me the elf poreless primer actually worked a bit better in terms of helping my makeup stay on.
Seconding Smashbox Photo Finish primer -- it's the only primer I've used that lets my makeup go on smoothly. I've tried just putting makeup and it mixes with my skin's natural oils and slides all over the fucking place.
I usually line my upper eyelids and keep the waterline subtle but I'm sort of getting annoyed at doing it but don't know how to change my look up otherwise. Eye shadow only takes me back to being 12 so I'm kinda meh on that. Sigh.
have you ever found a product that truly changed everything? the only things i can think of are revlon's tubing mascara and elf eyeshadow primer. i am still waiting on a skincare product to change my life
i feel like my pores are massive...but idk that anyone else would think that. i do double cleanse. i guess p50 maybe. it's a great product with no replacement (pixi glow tonic is NOT the same)
Paula's Choice BHA liquid made me red and peely at first so I started skipping a few days between applications and using a new moisturiser (men-u matt, which is A+), and it really seems to help with my super oily face. Maybe not life changing but a definite noticeable improvement after years of every other product.
BHA products have made a massive difference for me, as has washing twice a day.
I've had a 'strawberry nose' for most of my life and using BHA & a clay mask once a week, in addition to doing a skincare routine twice a day basically keeps my nose clear. I still have giant ass pores but it's genetic and nothing to do about that.
"Actives" like AHA, BHA, Vitamin C and retinoids can really change things up. I was using Curology for a while (I currently live abroad so it's a faff to get) and it made a big difference in my skin's texture.
Okay but what is the deal with these binches? Because I feel like I watch their show and I don't really now why???? Are they witches hypnotinizing me??????????????
[1] wash/exfoliate your face with clean hands [2] moisturize with common sense fashion: a beauty oil for dry/wrinkly areas, a lighter cream for oily ones [3] then don't wear make-up
ive been trying to even out my skin for months now and im more confused abt my skin type than ever it feels dry/dehydrated most of the time then will have days where its super oily and my pores are really pronounced and there's cc's all over my face
i tried cerave and it just made me break out so now im trying a la roche posay hydrating cleanser and im losing my ability to even evaluate products so idk
im tempted to just stop using everything ive been using and just use aloe vera and sunscreen for a while
also tip that im v excited abt the karuna face mask sets (4 in a box) are 34$ CAD at sephora and 12$ at winners y'all the exfoliating one in the green box is bomb
late af but l'oreal's new lash paradise mascara is a killer ass dupe for too faced better than sex--i'm so shook. less than half the price and also has a cute rose gold tube <3
super super late, but, really?? i heard it was a good dupe, but I saw someone on YouTube put it on and it looked pretty meh...then again she didn't apply it, yknow, the right way
better than sex is my favorite mascara ever but i can't justify that price tag
All I put on my face is moisturizer and sunscreen when I leave the house

As an oily skinned person, all this shit would just slide right off me.

Japanese WP mascaras and eyeshadow primers changed my life when I first tried them but that was nearly a decade ago!

I tend to have messy eyebrows that need taming and the brow gel I got from MAC has helped me in that.
