He wrote a misogynistic book telling women how to keep men or some other foolishness.
Everytime he opens his mouth I cringe because he's bound to say something offensive. Dude's like one of those racist grannies - views that are old and gross and need to catch up with society or shut up.
I got home early from work a couple months ago and was flipping channels and landed on him and I was INFURIATED at how fucking misogynistic his show was. It was all about how a woman is going to be a lonely old cat woman if she doesn't take her husband's last name and basically how a woman is only on earth to serve a man. I wanted to punch my TV and I've hated him ever since.
I think the context here is a little different though. Japanese girls tend to say that in reference to how some Japanese guys can be rather sexist and don't make very good partners? When western media hates on Asian men they're referring to the perception that asian men are not physically attractive and don't fit the western definition of masculinity. (I'm just sharing my personal view as a born and bred asian who lives in Japan)
I grew up brown and Asian in a primarily white & hispanic community. There were some Asian people to be sure. But I was so surprised when I started dating in the gay community to find that Asian men were at the bottom of the totem pole. I mean, the whole idea of hierarchy of desirability based on race is fucked, but finding out you're on the bottom... ouch. Even Asian men didn't want to date other Asians. Really a sad state of affairs. Happy I found my partner of several years.
I'm not trying to defend them, but I've been to a taping of one of these daytime talk shows, and I wonder if they actually were clapping for that, because you never actually see them clap. When I went(it was to Anderson), they literally had us just clap, and cheer and stuff like before the actual taping so they could have that footage and sound clips.
I went to a taping too (tyra) and there were signs above the first row that would light up with instructions like, "clap!" It all felt very forced. But I did laugh in cue, because I was a lemming (and young).
I was thinking the same thing, they probably just cut and paste the footage of them laughing because I'm betting there were a few people there that weren't amused.
That's what he always does, he'll laugh and laugh and continue with his stupid joke. That's why I've never liked him, it makes me feel uncomfortable because they go so long and he's grinning, shouting and acting out the joke. I'll legit get snappy and tell my mother to fast forward.

I'm working in Japan right now in the fashion industry and I'm tired of models casually saying "I don't like Japanese men" or "I don't like Asian men"
The worst part is that they cut to clips of people laughing at this bullshit.
Absolutely disgusting.
/I'm a Jewish woman and my boyfriend is Chinese.
I really want to turnaround this stereotype that Asian men are not attractive/sexy/etc.. It's absolutely false.

white woman w/a chinese husband and looks wise, he's def out of my league.
it seems like people are constantly fetishizing asian men and women or doubting their attractiveness/masculinity. give me a break tbh.
oh but then hollywood wont cast an asian actor/ess for asian roles. o ok. fucked up, man.
I'm disgusted.
