The women on 'Ink Master' had one goal: make sure one of them—any of them—would win. Their strategy worked. https://t.co/3YQ8gB6OUw— WIRED (@WIRED) December 7, 2016
In a move rarely seen on reality television 4 female contestants joined into an open alliance to support each other so that at least one of them could get to the finale and win. Their work paid off.
Ryan Ashley Malarkey (seen left in the photo) won Season 8 of Spike TV's tattoo reality show Ink Master.
This is the first year a woman has won the show. This is also the first year two women were in the final 3. Fellow contestant Kelly Doty (seen right in the photo) *who should have been in the final 2 with Ryan* was eliminated 3rd. Gian Karle Cruz came in 2nd.
There were 18 contestants only 5 were women.
