Gaga Claps Back On Twitter, Again...

HBO released their first segment "Patrick Carney’s High Standards Music Corner" on VICE News, which allows Carney to hear new music and give his opinion. They played OneRepublic’s “Kids” (“I wouldn’t buy it, but I wouldn’t mind if it came on in Abercrombie & Fitch…so embarrassed I liked OneRepublic”), Norah Jones’s latest (“I once compared her music to the theme from Frasier..I like this”) and Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion.”

“First of all, I hate guitars that sound like that!” he begins. “I’m lost because the guitar at the top of it sounds so shitty. It’s like ‘Eye Of The Tiger,’ but not even nearly as good as that. It sounds like Hulk Hogan is playing the fucking guitar.”

Carney concludes that “Perfect Illusion” is tolerable, despite his expressions that elude otherwise, due to the repitition becoming familiar. “It’s growing on me, I’ve heard it now. This is the thing about music — the more you hear it, the more you like it,” Carney says. “That’s why Payola worked.”
