Crazy Ex-Girlfriend 2x01 Roundup: New clip, new theme song, and new music video!

Scene from 2x01 'Where is Josh's Friend?':

Season 2 premieres this Friday, 10/21, at 9/8c!

SEASON PREMIERE — Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) is convinced Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III) is in love with her, while Greg (Santino Fontana) is nowhere to be found. Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin) is coming to terms with what drove her obsession with Rebecca’s love life, while Darryl (Pete Gardner) and White Josh (guest star David Hull) try to navigate their new relationship. Vella Lovell and Gabrielle Ruiz also star. Aline Brosh McKenna, Rachel Bloom and Marc Webb wrote the episode, directed by Marc Webb (#201).

- Co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna says that the change was necessary since Rebecca told Josh that she moved to West Covina to be with him.

- Season 2 will focus on the notion that anything you do for love is justifiable:
“What we tell people who are in love is that you should chase someone through an airport, you should show up outside their bedroom with a boom box, you should coat their bedroom with flowers,” McKenna says. “On one level it is a violation of people’s privacy and what they say they want. But it’s also very much how we frame courtship, so this season we’re dealing with the socially sanctioned way that courtship allows people to behave in ways that are crazy.”

- Theme was originally going to be a '70s style a la The Mary Tyler Moore Show, but after seeing the theme for the Neflix series Lady Dynamite, they scrapped it and went with the '20s-'30s number instead.

- The theme song will change every season.
