'Joanne' album party attendees allege the album is straight-up country folk-rock

Those who are looking for gaga to revisit her dance-pop roots are very out of luck this album round! Lady Gaga hosted an intimate album listening party for her 5th pop album, "Joanne," last night in NYC. At least 100 fans attended the party and collected some info on the new music.

Fans tell Popcrush it is an "emotional album that shows her growth as an artist." From gathered quotes, it seems that the sound is much different than any fans expected, with most calling it country-rock inspired. Attendees allege not to expect any electronic dance songs, though the album has a couple dance tracks.

One fan insisted that the album is complete departure from pop, "you're shit out of luck if that's what you're looking for." Instead the album is filled with "rawness, vocals & instruments."

He noted: “To sum up the record in one word: Country," & far as any potential standout tracks are concerned, he hints: “Million Reasons is going to SCALP you all.”
