Kim and Kanye -- No Prosecution for Secret Recording ... Taylor Knew People Were Listening https://t.co/ETNpEtkqzj— TMZ (@TMZ) July 19, 2016
- Taylor Swift will not be able to sue Kanye West and Kim Kardashian for recording and releasing video proof that she approved Famous lyrics.
- Under California law, taping a confidential conversation without the other person's knowledge is a crime, but it's not a crime to record conversations that may be overheard.
- She doesn't have a leg to stand on because there were other people in the room, most notably, music producer Rick Rubin.
- Taylor knew that there were other people in the room while she was talking to Kanye because Rubin and co. were also speaking in the background.
Maybe Joe Jonas should sue Taylor for uploading their break-up phone conversation on Youtube!
