There has been a wave of Youtubers being hacked lately, Ethan and Hila (H3H3) are the most recent victims.
-Hackers were able to get his sim card after impersonating T-Mobile employees, calling the company saying they were right next to Ethan and T-Mobile gave them their info as well.
-The simcard had all of Ethan's contact and text messages he had saved on it, the reason they needed it was because Youtube requires phone verification and wanted to hack their channel.
-As soon as his phone dropped service and called T-Mobile he was made aware of the situation and it seems fixed, for now.
-He advises everyone to call T-Mobile and request for absolute privacy as its too easy to get anyone's information.
T-Mobile's CEO responded directly to H3H3Production's (Ethan's channel main):
@h3h3productions Not OK. We are investigating. I will change any process that needs to change to make sure this doesn’t happen again.— John Legere (@JohnLegere) July 8, 2016
