Rachel attended a special screening for the documentary “Sonic Sea” yesterday in New York City. The documentary is about protecting life in our waters from the destructive effects of oceanic noise pollution and Rachel is the narrator. The film argues that man-made sound pollution from oil drilling, military sonar and gridlocked shipping lanes are responsible for the increasingly bizarre behavior seen in large aquatic mammals, such as whales being forced from their deep water territories into unfamiliar shallows, which in turn leads to them being washed up on shore.
Rachel attended the screening alongside John Hoffman & David Zaslav from Discovery Channel, Anna Carter & Rhea Suh from Natural Resources Defense Council Board and Graydon Carter (Vanity Fair).
Rachel is wearing a a Vivian Chan dress with Christian Louboutin heels.
