he actually said he didn't like it when it happened with his girlfriend around cause it's rude to her cause they're acting like she's not even there. that i understand.
but he also said that he thinks it's a nice feeling when he's alone and it happens so lol...
Several years ago, I took my boss to the premier of "Fling," which he and Courtney Ford were in. Since my friends wrote and directed the film, we went to the afterparty, where both Routh and Ford were talking to anyone who said hi. So my boss gets suuuuuuuper drunk and after Ford leaves Routh's side, he walks up to him and says "your wife is hot." Routh just laughed and said, "thanks!" I've only heard nice things about him and saw for myself that even when faced with obnoxious behavior, he continues to be friendly.
oh no is your teenage girlfriend offended when people hit on you? i bet she writes their names in her burn book and bitches about them during 5th period algebra.
God, he is so annoying. Like, I totally get what he's saying and agree with the sentiment, but everything he says just comes across as boring and whiny. Stereotypical attractive and boring. Manila Cavill, Henry Beige.
i like jesse whatever-his-name is as lex. i think he did as much as he could with what he had and i hope the actor doesn't get shit for not being what everyone expect lex luthor to be. batfleck also did the best he could with the shitty script they gave him. and wonder woman was pretty awesome and i'm shipping her with batfleck. i liked lois too; glad she had lots of screentime.and the senator was a definite highlight.
basically, i liked the movie when i grade it on a steep curve and ignore cavill/supes.
idk I thought lex was super annoying but I think it's totally snyder's fault for going with that portrayl Battfleck was the best part except I'm tired of all the batman movies flashing back to how his parents died.
I don't understand what went wrong for that movie, in terms of why it flopped. It was fun, everyone had chemistry, it seemed to come out at a good time. wtf?
I can understand why the general public might no go and see yet another movie adaptation of a classic TV show with a couple of B-listers, but bad reviews??
I thought it was really weird tbh. Like the random time jumps and the shots with multiple frames/wonky graphics, and Alicia Vikander's character was just bizarre.
Edit - Also, the first time I saw the trailer it was so boring I completely forgot about its existence for another six months.
i am stanning luthor. i will die on this hill. dgaf if he's true to the comics or not; he was one of the few things in the movie i enjoyed. yes, his lines were cheesy as shit, but i feel like the actor was actually enjoying himself.
ETA: liked batfleck, wonder woman, the senator, and luthor; hated: douchevill, the first hour, the shitty pacing.
[Spoiler (click to open)]I just got back from seeing it for a second time and supes dying really got to me. The pacing works itself out too on a second viewing. I have this theory that darksied might make been controlling lex, because all the stuff at the end about he is here or whatever he said. I liked the subtle humor, Alfred and perry killed me.
[Spoiler (click to open)] omg. please. i just got back from watching it and while i got bored at times, got lost a little bit at times, i was the most engaged in the end. i was grinding my teeth and on the edge of my seat the last few minutes. i literally got back into my car after and was like 'what did they do? how are they going to fix that?'
mte to all of your comment, esp with jesse, he was the only thing i didn't like about the movie. i know this is their ~vision~ for lex, but i couldn't take it seriously when he was the same neurotic character he always seems to play. agree he could've been a better fit for the riddler.
Yeah I said earlier in another post that BvS biggest problem it's the editing and the script. I really want Chris Terrio to be fired immediately. The story was all over the place and the characterization was amateurish.
The only reason why Gal Gadot was the best part of the film it's because she didn't have enough screen time to Chris terrio's writing fuck her up lol. Gal dodget a bullet imo.
[Spoiler (click to open)]i really liked ben affleck as Batman. Also, after the initial rehashing of his parents dying, I really really loved seeing the destruction from people of Metrolpolis' POV.
I made this comment later, it does really feel you kind of empty in FEELING for any of the characters. i'm just not emotionally connecting and I can't tell if it's the casting (idts), the writing or the fact that you know, batman and supes origin stories have been told SO many more times than Cap's, or Tony Starks, or anyone elses, so I just can't tell if that's just where it's at.
that, and the gratuitous CGI battle stuff. Gal was badass as WW tho. It was decent. worth the money seeing it once, to me, but after that, eh. I'm kind of intrigued for future movies, and kind of respect Snyder for killing Supes off (my dad was PISSED)
[Spoiler (click to open)]i didn't like it for a variety of reasons, and like sort of number one is all the moments where they used poc as set dressing (africa, the asian women who were?? sex slaves??, that entirely hispanic catering crew, the fact that it was randomly dia de los muertos in mexico and they recreated the white savior scene from game of thrones)
but also bc i went into this movie knowing nothing at all about superman and came out of it with the impression that he was a dick. what was his motivation for not liking batman? bc he went OTT on branding that one guy but also it was... one guy... he had a few lines that batman was terrorizing gotham when there were literally multiple senate hearings about how people were afraid of superman. people died in africa bc he showed up to save lois and didnt bother to keep tabs on the situation after, and he literally shrugged it all off. also all those people who died in MoS???? i literally do not understand why he got such a hateboner for batman based on one scene where he caught a sex trafficker who was subsequently beaten in prison. like your collateral damage is way worse bro
which brings me to the final fight scene where, super early on in the fight, there's a moment where he grabs batman and flies up into the air. batman is visibly surprised and off guard. why not take that moment to be like LISTEN FOR A HOT SEC, I DON'T HAVE BEEF WITH YOU, LEX LUTHOR IS HOLDING MY MOM HOSTAGE. instead he got caught up in waving his dick around bc batman, who at least had some believable motivation for wanting to kill him, got in a few solid punches. like, his mom was at death's door and i still didn't buy him being like ok i guess i'll kill the batman after i tried to talk to him once or twice.
that meaningless dream sequence where batman goes to the apocalypse and someone who is not ezra miller as the??? flash??? comes through the time stream to yell about lois lane. and there are also military moth people. how the fuck did that scene get out of the editing room?
the sloppy and time-wastey setting up of justice league. all you really needed to do was show those character's symbols. it would've made for a better tease. also maybe if we're supposed to be teasing, why did we spend 30 seconds watching wonder woman use an ATM?
idk i found a lot of things very ??? and unnecessary. it was sloppily written and the plot felt rushed despite the fact it was 2.5 hours.
ugh yes. I HATED the editing. Every scene felt like it was barely a minute long then they have to cut to what another character is up to. Also I felt that most of the beginning was getting pretty boring. My friend fell asleep during the dia de lost muertos scene.
I liked Batfleck tho and Wonder Woman for the most part. IA with you MORE character development would've been better. Also less dream sequences.
i feel like it did have humor throughout? especially with perry and alfred. they were both hilarious and my theatre really responded to both of them really well. and even [Spoiler (click to open)]during the scene with bruce and martha, the end was cute and the audience laughed. so i think the "dark and brooding" thing is a little exaggerated. it was dark, sure... but not as dark as people are saying. that's just my opinion.
he needs to keep his creeper face somewhere i can't see it
but he also said that he thinks it's a nice feeling when he's alone and it happens so lol...

Brandon seems like a gift, and not just in appearance.
i wanna thank you for giving me Brandon Routh, Like a rock, you waited so patiently
And Brandon isn't a raging douche at the mouth
He is so unlikeable
he's 32
but she's ~not like the other girls her age~ so it's fine

Heath's Joker was nothing like the comics but he's still my fave and I can say that about a lot of CBM actors/characters.

Also Jesse isn't supposed to be the Lex we are used to, he is Lex Jr. It worked for me.

I really wanna see his dick
