Steve McQueen's 'Codes of Conduct' gets scrapped by HBO due to 'Vinyl' flopping

  • Because Vinyl, which had a big name cast and producers (Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese), flopped HBO is having financial difficulties

  • Cancelled what was supposed to be a 6 ep mini-series by Steve McQueen about a young lower-class black man who cons his way into high-society

  • Was set to star newcomer Devon Terrell, Rebecca Hall, Helena Bonham-Carter and Paul Dano

  • A pilot was shot and hopefully it will surface at some point
