More at the source.

I have to say that if I were to see the Horrors live, I would just stand there and laugh at them the whole time. I just can't take them seriously. The singles list looks relatively decent otherwise, though I think Happy As Annie and She's Attracted To should have been higher. And no Jamie T?

i agree with YYY's show your bones on #2.
that shit was a royal step up from fever to tell.
[info]dutsukyampu 8th-Dec-2006 04:09 am (UTC)
oh shit, beck's information should have been placed much higher as well.
[info]scream10037 8th-Dec-2006 04:47 am (UTC)
omg. YYY's own. srsly, they're album was sooo good. Show Your Bones was nominated for a Grammy for Best Alternative Album (i think) Im pretty sure they'll win.
[info]dutsukyampu 8th-Dec-2006 05:16 am (UTC)
!!!!
haven't give a shit about the grammys since i was in elem school but congrats to them, they fucking deserve it for show your bones.

[info]so_typically_me 8th-Dec-2006 04:10 am (UTC)
wow i seriously suck. I used to be so up on music, and i barely know who half of the bands on this list are :(
[info]jmintmilano 8th-Dec-2006 04:32 am (UTC)
i think this is a british list.

lol.

I mean....artic monkeys as number 1? llol
[info]condimentsrock 8th-Dec-2006 04:36 am (UTC)
that's because half of the bands are crap
don't let the "quirky" band names fool you, they're disguised to hide their inability to create music that's not like everybody elses.
[info]xanthippeia 8th-Dec-2006 04:52 am (UTC)
I don't really understand your icon but I love it anyway.
Also, iawtc.
[info]christinemozart 8th-Dec-2006 02:01 pm (UTC)
same here, I feel like I'm getting so old at almost 23 : (
[info]tricky_cracker 8th-Dec-2006 04:10 am (UTC)
I know like, 2 artists/bands on the two lists.
[info]yayforyeh 8th-Dec-2006 04:11 am (UTC)
'well well well,' i see that arctic monkeys are back on theirs knees doing the dirty dirty for NME! it's been a long time since they've gotten high NME praise! hahah that and that album is just phenomenal. no bias of course :)
[info]missperfect7 8th-Dec-2006 04:12 am (UTC)
Lilly Allen’s rant was the only good thing to ever come out of this mags existence.
[info]thisistribute 8th-Dec-2006 04:13 am (UTC)
Why the fuck is Panic! at the Disco on this list?
[info]nexttopmess 8th-Dec-2006 04:34 am (UTC)
Because this list is from NME
[info]chung_____chung 8th-Dec-2006 06:57 am (UTC)
because people are fucking psycho, thats why

(ps, i hate not having a fiona icon for moments like this)
[info]imaginasian 9th-Dec-2006 03:56 am (UTC)
Seriously.

BTW, Fiona >>>>> P!ATD
[info]danielle09 9th-Dec-2006 04:49 am (UTC)
Why the fuck not? If people actually listened to the album, instead of judging it based on the ONE song they play on the radio, they'd think differently, IMO.

[info]nipmock 9th-Dec-2006 06:41 am (UTC)
Music aside it shouldn't really be on the list; it was a 2005 release
[info]ilikeandrewbird 8th-Dec-2006 04:17 am (UTC)
dfa <3
[info]truthofthewords 8th-Dec-2006 04:32 am (UTC)
I love that song.
[info]musicpsych 8th-Dec-2006 04:14 am (UTC)
These lists are always crap.
[info]fioredimerda 8th-Dec-2006 04:14 am (UTC)

[info]ilikeandrewbird 8th-Dec-2006 04:14 am (UTC)
OMGGG arctic monkeys, YYYs were *awful*. war w/ the mystics is the worst album the Flaming Lips have ever put out.

where's peter bjorn and john? and get cape?

Hot Chip is soooo properly listed. They're amazing. Where's Regina Spektor?
[info]thisistribute 8th-Dec-2006 04:15 am (UTC)
Regina is in the second list for Fidelity.
[info]ilikeandrewbird hotel song8th-Dec-2006 04:16 am (UTC)
i want both!
[info]sharks_teeth 8th-Dec-2006 04:15 am (UTC)
Pfft. They included Cat Power but neglected Neko Case. Fox Confessor shat on everything IMO.
[info]ilikeandrewbird 8th-Dec-2006 04:16 am (UTC)
i love neko
[info]amativus 8th-Dec-2006 04:50 am (UTC)

[info]pharmacists 8th-Dec-2006 05:00 am (UTC)
FULLY AGREE WITH THIS COMMENT!

(though i also love cat power)
[info]sharks_teeth 8th-Dec-2006 05:09 am (UTC)
oh yeah i didn't mean to detract from Cat Power, i like her a lot. I was kinda thinking that in the eyes of NME Cat Power & NC would be similar artists.
[info]dissolvedstorm 8th-Dec-2006 06:33 am (UTC)
IAWTC hardcore.
[info]loudpunk 8th-Dec-2006 05:25 pm (UTC)
the neko case cd was good, but cat power was better sry2say
[info]queerinmesoftly 8th-Dec-2006 04:15 am (UTC)

[info]thisistribute 8th-Dec-2006 04:25 am (UTC)

[info]cracked_lcd318 8th-Dec-2006 04:32 am (UTC)
