so the company I work for participates in "Bring Your Dog to Work Day" every year, and two years ago we got an e-mail from our CEO saying "Please note that as a company we *do* participate in Bring Your Dog to Work Day. Please note as a company that we *do not* participate in Bring Your Child to Work Day" lmaooo

it's amazing because I love dogs and I hate kids.

i bring my dog to work with me twice a week :))))) its not technically allowed by higher ups but my boss dgaf

I live in NYC and imagine it's just as hard. Honestly it's just hustling and charging slightly less until you build a decent client base. I get most of my jobs via Craigslist and a couple other sites. I recommend it though, it's super fun

same! i dont have the time/money for a fulltime pet (except my guinea pigs but those dont count as pets lol) so this is ideal for me. all i do is kiss and pet them and then i can go home and get PAID for it hooray

I'm currently mad at my dogs for somehow getting to and opening a bottle of cooking oil, spilling it all over the fucking kitchen and lapping up enough of it that they vomited elsewhere in the house. I've spent the last two hours cleaning up after these furry fuckers. I'm terrified of what I'll wake up to in 4 hours.

omg that reminds me of when my dad's wife's cat ate an entire bag of dark chocolate hershey's, foil and all and had to have her stomach pumped...

Yikes!!! My cat will eat anything, and if I leave anything out where he can get to it, he will tear into it and go to town. He's gotten into chocolate 3 or 4 times and has never even gotten sick, thankfully. I think he has an iron stomach.

Yikes, that sounds horrible. I feel ya.

A similar incident happened to me. One of the dogs got into the bin and ate everything, made a mess and when I was cleaning that, he ate a big block of butter (with the wrapper). Soon, he vomited 4 times within an hour with traces of plastic bags and whatever else and then liquid oily poo diarrhea and I had to watch him the whole night to make sure he wouldn't deteriorate further (vets orders). So so bad.

omg girl i feel you. when my parent's dog was a pup, he ate part of a 20 dollar bill, some preparation H (he fucking broke into the medicine cabinet??) and then he busted the pantry open and tried to eat a bag of sugar. he was fine but throwing up after. he had a terrible bout of separation anxiety for a few years but he's also dumb as fuck lmao. my mom had to put those baby locks on her cupboards/pantry doors for a while.
