RIHtiree spotted at the airport in Miami; takes a flight to Cuba cause she wanted Cuban food

The owner of the La Fontana restaurant in Cuba said Rihanna came straight from the airport when she arrived to eat(an hour long flight from Miami). He added that she told him she wanted some Cuban food. She ate two big plates of food, danced to the live band, and asked questions about the culture there. He said she told him she just took the trip for "pleasure". Glad to see she's relaxing.

I'm confused. Wouldn't she have had to fly in from a different country to get to Cuba? I've lived in Miami my whole life and just now went to Versailles it wasn't that great.

No, you can fly from Miami now. The visas are still a bit difficult to get but probably not when you have as much money as her.

Versailles is overrated. I'm all about La Carreta, tbh. RIP Casa Romeo.

If she still has citizenship from Barbados, it's a lot easier for her to go there on a direct flight than for Americans (who can still go there, as long as they get everything done through the State Department).

I'm from Miami too and I flew to Cuba a bunch of times in the early 90s. It never seemed like a big deal.

I tried Versailles for the first time a few months ago. Way too salty for me. At least it was way better than Sergio's, though. I thought that was supposed to be a great place to eat, but the rice tasted like salt and bleach and the food was pretty much inedible when I went.

Fuck me, I went to South Beach 2 times this year. I TRIED to wait in line there, and it was like NOPE! The lines are always way too fucking long. Ocean Drive has a few places that make a mean Cuban Sandwich and Mint Mojito tho.

Rio Cristal is where it's at!

Versailles isn't that great. Although, I think it works well for tourists, because it is an experience of sorts (loud, so loud). I'm totally down for these recs being thrown your way, haha!

versailles is so nasty last time i ate there they brought me ice with a fly frozen in one of the cubes. also most of the food tastes like it was barely microwaved.

It's fairly cheap sometimes to fly an hour to Houston and I've thought about doing it just for good tacos. My fear of flying always wins, though.

That's so me. I used to walk about 2 km at 2.30 am to go to McDonald's (that's the only one open 24 hours) and I used to live in a countryside, so a lot of trees and quite dark. Looking back now, I'd just ask for delivery. XD

Kind of O/T but not really.. I have a good friend whose mom works for a major airline, she only has to pay for airport taxes and gets to go anywhere in the world whenever she feels like it.. All she does is go to London a few times a year. What a waste.

London is a wonderful city even if the weather is messy, but if I could fly anywhere and just pay airline taxes, I'd go all around Europe and Asia.

My friend's boyfriend does too. They fly first class for like $100. It makes me want to cry
