Chippy Nonstop got Deported #FREECHIPPY

First she got kicked out the club, now the USA. Cali Rapper and #LOSTINTHOT cohost, Chippy Nonstop, recently tried returning from a tour in Asia only to find herself locked up in airport jail due to an expired visa and deported back to her home country, Canada. Alone and away from her family, friends, and boyfriend Chippy has been tweeting for help from somewhere in Vancouver and has started a petition for Obama to uplift her five year ban with support from fellow musicians, Kreayshawn and Kitty.

Pretty much. There's no good reason for her to have an expired visa. At least not that's been shared.

she's actually from dubai, she's been moving around the world with her parents for most of her life and settled with them in toronto for a few years where she became a citizen. then they moved to san francisco when she was still a minor and she got a visa, so she's been staying with her parents while trying to get US citizenship for years.

idk, i sympathize with her. what happened sounds really frustrating and scary, and it's not like she hasn't been trying to become a citizen. apparently she was harrassed and mistreated by the people who detained her as well.

Oof. That is rough. And no matter what, she deserved to be treated with respect by customs employees.

I think a lot of people in this post are still gonna be of the opinion that she should have known better than to fly on an expired visa, especially as her situation is a lot better than that of many facing deportation. I do hope she lands on her feet, though.

That petition seems like a misuse of their platform. There are people who face actual danger and serious hardship should they get deported. I'm not keen on feeling for someone who is getting deported to Canada, of all places.
