James Franco is shy; finds dating difficult

James Franco finds it difficult to get a date as he's "shy".

Speaking in the new issue of Loaded magazine - out now - He said: "I've always been a little shy in meeting women.
"I've been getting better over the years at being able to speak more comfortably when I first meet someone. Obviously you have to be a little apprehensive on some occasions but usually it's all very natural."
Franco was recently forced to defend himself after flirting with a 17-year-old fan on Instagram, insisting he was just trying to "meet someone", and though it has been speculated the incident was a publicity stunt to promote his 'Palo Alto' movie, he insists he doesn't "care" what people think.
"I don't care. I've tried to address the issue of celebrity culture in different ways and by doing that I open myself up to that kind of criticism," he says.

are you shy?

I don't get shy the first time I meet a guy. Even if the guy's really attractive, it takes me talking to him a little and him staring at me for me to start feeling that way. The easiest way to make me feel shy is for a guy to stare at me. It can be so unsettling when you know a guy's looking at you with the luuuuv eyes.

OKAYY addressing celebrity culture by forever being a publicity stunt?
"shy around the opposite sex"
"doesn't "care" what people think"
moreit would probably be easierI also find it a lot easier to talk with women than men. It's probably because I have a lot more in common usually than I do with guys--I really have to come up with things to talk about with men or else it gets stuck in endless small talk which is painful for me.
I am better at talking to males than females, though. IDK why. I think I am more intimidated by females bc I like.. can't get by on looks or flirting or anything so idk what to say to them lmao.
