Since touring with One Direction [lol] and co-writing hits like Little Things, it’s hardly surprising Ed Sheeran has struck up a good relationship with the band.

The 23-year-old crooner was pictured partying up quite the storm with teen heartthrob Niall Horan following 1D’s energetic performance at iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday night.

Both dressed down in checkered shirts and black T-shirts, the two boys celebrated with famous friends at XS Nightclub inside the Wynn Hotel.

The close pals appeared to be in high spirits as they happily posed for pictures, they later hopped on stage to dance during DJ Guetta's set.








Niall, 21, was also snapped rubbing shoulders with Chris Brown over the weekend, who was celebrating his surprise guest performance alongside Usher during the festival.

During the afterparty, the stars were joined by other celebrity friends Macklemore, Jermaine Dupri and Lil Jon.







One Direction and Ed Sheeran took the iHeartRadio stage along with Lorde, Paramore, Iggy Azalea, Weezer, 50 Cent, Eric Church, Calvin Harris and Train on Saturday. It was the second part of a two-day festival in the hot desert city.

Ed wowed crowds with his cover of Macklemore's Same Love, before inviting the artist up on stage.

He later took to Twitter to post: ‘Much love to @macklemore for hopping on stage with me tonight’

After performing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas this weekend, One Direction will no doubt continue making pop history with the release of their fourth album.
Simply named FOUR, it is due for release on November 17.

One Direction, who were put together by Simon Cowell on The X Factor in 2010, celebrated the announcement by giving away a brand new track for free.
