A "Doctor Who" Season 8, episode 2 torrent has appeared online, several weeks after the initial BBC leak. Much like the "Doctor Who" Season 8 premiere leak, "Into the Dalek" is a black and white workprint.
Early in July, news spread of the first two episodes of "Doctor Who" Season 8 leaking online. The "Doctor Who" Season 8 episode leak followed the script leak of the first five episodes of the season. The first episode quickly spread on the Internet, but finding the second episode proved more difficult. There was a torrent available but individuals downloading the file could not complete the transfer, notes TorrentFreak.
During the initial leak, BBC apologized for the issue, saying it originated from its Latin America headquarters in Miami. "We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches," said BBC in a statement.
The "Doctor Who" Season 8, episode 2 torrent can be found on the popular file sharing website Pirate Bay. As of Tuesday afternoon, the torrent has 119 seeders, the number of users who have completed a download and are sharing the torrent, and 11 leechers, the number of users actively downloading the torrent. The episodes appears to be directed to a production company for subtitling, notes TorrentFreak. Based on the screenshot of the BBC Miami leak, the first six episodes were directed to Marecelo Carmago but only the first two episodes have leaked online.
The "Doctor Who" Season 8 premiere, "Deep Breath," airs on Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. EDT on BBC America.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really, really enjoying this mess.
