Metta World Peace aka Ron Artest is changing his name once more to 'The Pandas Friend'

New team, new country, new name.
Metta World Peace — the former Ron Artest — will play basketball in China next year, and with the move comes a new name.
World Peace will be known as The Pandas Friend while playing for the Sichuan Blue Whales this season, the 34-year-old confirmed on Twitter Thursday.

Again, The Pandas Friend.
World Peace teased fans that he’d be changing his name to coincide with his switch to the Chinese Basketball Association, tweeting on Aug. 1: “I’m chaning my name for China this season !!!! You guys will love it”
Giant panda’s are on the list of endangered species and are found in the wild in central China, particularly in Sichuan province, where World Peace will be playing. He’ll earn $1.43 million playing for the Blue Whales next season, making him the highest-paid player in the CBA. It’s not clear if the ex-Knicks forward will change his name in any official capacity — as he did in 2011 when he made the switch from Ron Artest to Metta World Peace — or if this is just a nickname he'll go by.
Too bad the Knicks didn’t participate in the NBA’s nickname jersey games (like the Heat and Nets did last season). Artest-World Peace-Panda Friend clearly would’ve come up with a great one.
