Olivia Wilde Breastfeeds In Couture For Glamour Cover Shoot

Actress and new mom Olivia Wilde, who graces the front page of Glamour’s September issue, proved she can wear both of those hats in a stunning photo shoot that includes a picture of her breastfeeding her son, Otis.

“Being shot with Otis is so perfect because any portrait of me right now isn’t complete without my identity as a mother being a part of that,” Wilde told the magazine. “Breastfeeding is the most natural thing. I don’t know, now it feels like Otis should always be on my breast.”

Wilde, who gave birth to her and fiancé Jason Sudeikis’ baby in April, said she felt like the photo captured what it looks like to be a “multifaceted woman.”

“You can be someone who is at once maternal and professional and sexy and self-possessed,” said the 30-year-old. “[But] I mean, I certainly don’t really look like that when I’m [typically] breast-feeding. And there’s usually a diaper involved.”

Glamour’s September issue will be on newstands Aug. 12.

We are all multifaceted women imo

it's so weird to see baby pictures of my parents. like, obviously i knew they were kids, but to see them as kids is so surreal
tucker 6th-Aug-2014 05:42 am (UTC)
the one that always gets me is how many pregnant people there must be

I feel like I notice a pregnant person maybe twice a month, but SO MANY PEOPLE so there must have been so many pregnant people lol
_underwhelmed 5th-Aug-2014 07:04 pm (UTC)
i love babies! they are so squishy with their fat little legs and arms. its children i could live without
missingalphabet 5th-Aug-2014 07:11 pm (UTC)
I only like children between the ages of like 3 and 11. Before that they're a fragile bundle that can't walk, talk, or piss on their own and after that they're a money-draining mass of hormones and disobedience.

roxtarrr 5th-Aug-2014 07:31 pm (UTC)
I once told my sister I was going to name my hypothetical future son Otis and she said she would disown me.

To be fair, I did say I would also name his hypothetical twin brother Milo...
jennyherself 5th-Aug-2014 07:01 pm (UTC)
otis

immediately reminds me of the cinematic masterpiece The Adventures of Milo and Otis

Lmaooo that quote is just...
I rolled my eyes I'm ngl. Like you don't need to have the baby in the pic to prove you are multifaceted...
She's so tiresome to me
scullies 5th-Aug-2014 07:02 pm (UTC)
that particular shot is pretty mediocre but I like the idea of this.
itsglenncoco 5th-Aug-2014 07:03 pm (UTC)
The name Otis reminds me of porridge or something
marcodepoll 5th-Aug-2014 07:03 pm (UTC)
Not going to pretend to understand Glamour's whole shoot, but it's a nice picture
_underwhelmed 5th-Aug-2014 07:03 pm (UTC)
cool i guess...i dig a glam nursing moment as much as the next person
fabouluz 5th-Aug-2014 07:03 pm (UTC)
I love women who can breast feed, and I love those who cannot or choose not to. However, I can't stand Olibia. She's such a try hard.
xcollsangelx 5th-Aug-2014 07:03 pm (UTC)
I forgot she even had a kid.
rlmoonyk 5th-Aug-2014 07:03 pm (UTC)
Otis is such a frumpy name
_underwhelmed 5th-Aug-2014 07:05 pm (UTC)

rlmoonyk 5th-Aug-2014 07:07 pm (UTC)
I blame the movie for that
peddlestools 5th-Aug-2014 07:08 pm (UTC)
it is

altho in retrospect that movie was terrible. those poor animals placed in perilous situations. i bet they went through multiple milos.
egalitarianmuse 5th-Aug-2014 07:21 pm (UTC)
It works with the last name Sudeikis but not on its own.
truth_and_facts 5th-Aug-2014 07:04 pm (UTC)
LOlL i don't even know why it's such a big deal, women should be able to fucking FEED their babies when needed.
fudgepacking 5th-Aug-2014 08:54 pm (UTC)
I feel like some celebrities act like they're doing something of god-like proportions. I don't get any sense of helping to show that breastfeeding is natural (which it is, obviously). It's, like, "LOOK AT ME! NOTICE ME! I AM MOTHER EARTH INCARNATE! LOOK AT MEEEEEE!"
