Lena Dunham Opens Twitter Discussion About Why We Use Birth Control

Since the shocking Supreme Court decision ruling that Hobby Lobby and other closely held, for-profit companies can be exempt from providing birth control coverage to employees last month, birth control, insurance, and their pertinence to gender inequality have been the subject of a national debate. Currently, the White House is developing a new plan that will accommodate religious non-profits so that they don't have to take certain measures to opt out of coverage. In the face of all this, many cultural influencers have expressed their own opinions on the matter, but Lena Dunham is one such name who is taking the extra step to open the discussion to her fans.
The Girls star took to Twitter last night, revealing (and asking) the following:

Dunham has always been extremely vocal about her thoughts on these issues—so much so that Planned Parenthood is "rocking out" with her on the tour for her upcoming memoir, Not That Kind of Girl. It's a pretty awesome partnership and we're excited to see what comes of it.
