FAIR City star Rachael Pilkington has united a host of famous names to call on the Government to ban fur farming in Ireland.
Animal-lover Rachael is working with the Campaign for the Abolition of Cruel Sports to ask Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney to put a stop to the controversial practice. She has rallied a list of supporters, with 271 Irish celebs backing the cause. Hollywood star Saoirse Ronan, Amy Huberman, Grainne and Sile Seoige and Love/Hate's Peter Coonan are some of the stars who have added their names to a 13-page plea submitted to the Department of Agriculture last Friday.

Although she regularly returns to her native Carlow to see her family, Academy Award nominee Saoirse shares an apartment with friends in London whenever she's not filming. The starlet recently returned from Canada where she completed production on her next project, the big screen adaptation of Colm Toibin's book Brooklyn, set in the 1950s. She's now enjoying some well-deserved time off at her fabulous new pad.
Saoirse has been working in front of the camera since the age of 10 and is managed by her dad, Paul, who's also an actor. While growing up she was often accompanied on set by her dad, and has starred in at least two films every year since 2011.
