Charlie Day, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, & Sharlto Copley Join John Krasinski’s ‘The Hollars’

Charlie Day, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sharlto Copley, Josh Groban, Randall Park, Ashley Dyke and Mary Kay Place have all joined John Krasinski’s directorial debut “The Hollars,” the actor/director announced on Twitter.

Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins and Margo Martindale had previously been announced to star alongside Krasinski in the film, in which he will have the starring role as John Hollar, who returns to his Midwest hometown with his girlfriend (Kendrick) after learning that his mother (Martindale) has to undergo brain surgery. Once there, he must “navigate the dysfunctional rhythms of his helpless brother, anxiety-prone father (Jenkins) and over-eager high school girlfriend.” Krasinski posted the cast photo along with their characters, though no other plot or character details are yet available.

Among the new cast additions, Day will next be seen in comedy sequel “Horrible Bosses 2″ while Winstead recently joined the cast of A&E’s “The Returned” remake series. Copley recently played the King in “Maleficent.” Park, who plays Senator Danny Chung on HBO’s “Veep,” will next play Kim Jung-Un in controversial Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy “The Interview.”
